Privacy policy

Better Blanket LLC runs betterblanket.com. This page is what we do with information that identifies you. Last updated September 2, 2026.

What we collect

  • Orders. Name, email, shipping address, and what you bought. Stripe handles the card. We never see the full card number.
  • Contact form. Name, email, and the message you typed.
  • Custom briefs. Name, email, occasion, quantity, budget, timeline, and any artwork you upload. Artwork is stored so we can knit from it.
  • Site logs. Cloudflare sees the usual request data (IP, user agent, URL) to run the site. We also load Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without using advertising cookies.

Why

To take the order, ship it, send tracking, answer you, knit a custom design you asked for, and keep the site working. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Who else sees it

  • Stripe, to charge the card and compute tax.
  • Shippo and the carrier, to buy a label and deliver the blanket.
  • The mill in New Jersey, as needed to knit and pack the order. The shipping label is how the address reaches them.
  • Resend, to send order mail and replies from danny@betterblanket.com.
  • Cloudflare, to host the site, store uploaded artwork, and count visits.

Chewy has its own privacy policy for anything you buy there. We do not get those orders.

How long

Order records stay as long as we need them for taxes, returns, and a later question about a blanket we shipped. Contact mail we keep long enough to answer it. Artwork for a custom job we keep while the job is live and for a reasonable period after, in case you reorder. You can ask us to delete what the law does not require us to keep.

Your choices

Email danny@betterblanket.com to see what we have, correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are in a place with a specific privacy law (California, the EU, and others), we will honor those rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising, so there is no "do not sell" toggle because there is nothing to opt out of.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top. For a material change we will say so on the site.
